bought a 1/4 size for our five year old boy, The violin arrived perfect, it holds tune nicely, four lessons in and its doing great. this is the first violin we have bought and are planning to buy the next size up as he grows.
I had a question, it was very nice to call an 800 number and get someone who was quite helpful and answered all my questions

This violin is excellent for the beginning student. I am an orchestra teacher and needed a violin to use at school because I do not want to take my own violin to teach with. It is a good quality instrument. Plus, the extras that come with it are terrific!!! A rosin, shoulder rest, extra set of strings and a tuner all for the price of $89.99! Plus free shipping!! I bought a 1/2 size for my daughter two years ago. It's held up so well I'm going to buy her a larger one of the same model. The only problem is that she out grew it. It was well worth the money.
