Beautiful violin for a great price. The sound quality is just right and after a few adjustments to the strings and pegs it was ready to play. With a better rosin cake I will enjoy getting back to playing in no time. Shipment was fast easy and hassle free.

The CVN-200 is a great starter violin. I received mine ready to play after tuning, which was easy with the included electronic tuner. It is really beautiful. The sound is ok to start, but needs better quality strings to bring out full potential. I replaced mine with Helicore strings from Sharmusic.com $28.00 more or less with free shipping. The bows are usable, but violin would benefit from a better quality bow, same goes for the rosin.
Overall, this is a great violin, especially for someone who is just learning and not sure whether they want to continue.
I have read other reviews about defects, however mine was nearly perfect. My only problem is the end pin is a little crooked, more of a cosmetic than functional problem. Other than that it's great.
