I have had this violin for about 6 months now. Here are my thoughts...
Pros: Mellow warm sounding even with the original steel strings. The color was amazing and the pictures really do not do justice to the final look. As reviewed by Fiddlerman in the video above the violin comes with everything you see.
Cons: It is heavy for a violin. The bows I got were both warped, while they worked my instructor had me take them to a luthier and the luthier had to rebend them to straighten them out and i will need to replace them sometime in the near future. The fingering for the "E" string is considerably closer to the bridge than the other 3 fingers (around a 1/2" distance closer)
Other notes: As stated this comes with 2 sets of steel strings, unless you are going for very bright and metalic sounds i would recommend replacing the strings with synthetic core strings. over all this is an amazing value and would recommend this to anyone of any age who is thinking of trying to learn a violin

I'm getting this one for my birthday!! I read the reviews for the metallic black one and it seemed like a pretty good violin. I hope its as great as it looks online!!
