When I got this instrument, it took only a couple of minutes to set everything up. After it played great! It is ideal for beginners and suitable for intermediates.
This was a good starting instrument for my kid.

Honestly, I feel that this violin is really only for beginners. If you can play some already, or you're in the middle of taking lessons and or classes. And all of a sudden you want to get a new violin- not this one! Avoid the alloy tailpeices, painted fingerboards and plastic chinrests. KK Music store has many other violins in store for you. You can choose from the German made (recommended) and or other Cecilio brands. But if you are tight on money, it's ok to get it (I'm not making you).
