I purchased this bari sax about 1 1/2 years ago, and I'm very pleased with it. I just recently retired, and joined our local Community Band, having played bari sax in high school and one year at university. I had an old (1940s ?) bari sax I'd purchased used in about 1985 and that I played in a different community band, and always fought that old sax a little. After decades of not being played, I tried using it a few weeks, and took it to an instrument repair shop, but just couldn't get a good sound.

I was nervous about spending this much money on a saxaphone made by a company I'd never heard of. I tried to get as much information as I could on the internet - I thought some YouTube reviews by other new owners were particularly useful.

I believe this is what is called a "student model" bari sax, but the body, components and workmanship all appeared "right" to me when I received it. It looked to me just like the baritone saxes I'd played in high school and college (school-owned instruments) - except this was new and shiny.

I'm able to get a good sound out of the sax, and can generally play even low notes at piamissamo with good success. Other members of the band have commented that "they like that sound" whene our music calls for a "walking bass line" or big round bass notes.

I was never a really good musician in school (I got better with each year, but I wasn't in the same category as the really talented kids). But I really enjoy playing in the community band, and this this instrument allows me to that. It's a quality saxophone - and more talented muscians than me could get even more out of it.
